My Imagination

As I was Dreaming, I imagined that I was in a  different world called “Wasteland”. It smelled horrible and I tried to find my way back to Earth but it was on the other Galaxy. I was walking for hours and hours until I heard a noise “Woosh!” And I turned as fast as I could and said “Hello!” As loud as I can then “Woosh!” I knew that there was someone here. I heard a breathing noise behind my back. So I looked back and saw a Ninja running everywhere parkouring off the car then onto the roof and I felt a little strange.

I kept walking, keeping on eye at every sight. Trying my hardest to find the Ninja again. As I walked around the corner I once more saw the Ninja but it did not know I was here so I grabbed a stick and sneakily walked behind him. Before I could hit the ninja It turned around and threw a ninja star right past my head. I was shocked so I threw the stick at him and chop it in half with a Katana. I ran away as fast as I could until he came running after me.

I hid under some garbage bags and the ninja ran past by. The next morning a teleporter came out of nowhere so I ran as fast as I could to go before it goes away. I jumped like a spring going through the teleporter. Then suddenly I got woken up in my bad and I thought it was real.

Year 7 Team Building

The 29th of November 2012. We Year 7’s had an opportunity to do some fun activities, while the year 8’s were at their transitions at Tamaki Collage. I was Excited to do some fun Activities with the other year 7's. 7 Groups were made and I had: Crusader, James, Tevita, Raenan, Alex, Britney, Hosannah, Roezela, Brooklyn, Ashleigh, and myself.

The first activity we did is to build and create a Christmas tree out of paper and foil. As we finished making the tree, I thought our tree look like it was not going to win the competition. We were all nervous about our Christmas tree. All groups had to sing a Christmas song and we all sang Silent Light. We were singing the song nervously as we get to finish with a around of applause All the other groups were funny and entertaining to watch.

The second activity was Creating and shooting. We were all excited to be launching something at someone. We all have to hold hands to transport through the obstacles. As Mr.Barks said On Your Marks Get Set And Go! and I got pulled like a doll running as fast as we can getting through the Hula Hoop Without our hands Disconnecting. As we got through the Hula Hoop and got our equipment to build and Create a Slingshot. I was holding the handle and when they fire the paper ball at Crusader The handle whipped up my jaw and I fell on the ground and it hurt. We lost because the balloons were our points and they all popped and we felt anxious about coming last place for that.

Our team only came 2nd for winning the Christmas tree competition and only got 1 lollie each and we were all happy about 2nd place.

Bushfire "Camping In The Woods"

As Kevin was about to go camping with his three friends named Kobe,Tupac and Tau. He had a phone call. Kevin answered the phone and it was Kobe. He told him to go to the forest and thats where they were camping. 45 minutes later, Kevin arrived at the forest and saw Kobe and Tau but he wondered where Tupac was. Kobe said that Tupac hasn’t come yet. 20 minutes later, Tupac arrived just in time to have lunch. After they ate their lunch they were starting the fire because it was getting dark.

Tupac and Tau went to go in the forest to look for wood. We got back at the campsite and Kobe and Kevin were gone and Tupac thought that where they went. Tau saw some fire from the other side of the forest. Tupac saw Kobe and kevin at the fire and Tupac yelled “Kobe! , Kevin!” but they cannot hear.

Kobe and Kevin tried to run away from the fire. They both got back and told us to pack our stuff and leave the forest immediately. Fire Trucks came out of nowhere and started to hose the fire down. The bushfire was insane that trees started to fall on roads. Kevin started the car and left immediately passing through fire trucks as they come on opposite lane. Kevin dropped us all off at the bus station because he was low on gas.

First Person To Jump Off A Chopper 2,400 ft With No Parachute

42 Year Old Gary Connery was one of the people to jump off with no parachute from a devastating height 731 metres tall. Everybody was anxious and amazed when he had jumped off the chopper with faith. He landed on 16,800 boxes of cardboard as everyone clapped and got worried that he would be injured. He came out with a big smile and a exhausted face. Cheering after what happened popping the lid off the wine.

Wingsuits are special suits that slow people down decreasing their speed.

The London Games 2012

The London games started with excitement, spectators cheering on the athletes in the parade as the crowd went wild. Spectators from all around the world hoping the athletes try their best. The Olympics is a time of opposite emotions as I show below.

As soon as the 100m finals came on, people were quiet and anxious. The gun went off, “Bang!” Usain Bolt had a good start, behind him was Yohan Blake. Bolt ran first with Blake placing second. Both were proud getting gold and silver for Jamaica.

Nick Willis, from New Zealand, had the second fastest heat time to qualify for the 1500m running race. He was super excited to be in the finals! In the final he was running well until the last 100m, finally coming 9th place out of 12 athletes. He was disappointed about it.

Valerie Adams is the best New Zealand women's Shot-Put ever and was defending her Olympic title in London. She lost to an athlete called Nadzeya Ostapchuk who took first place with 21.36m throw. Valerie Adams came second place with 20.70m and she was not happy winning a silver medal and losing her Olympic title. A Russian lady, Kolodko Evgeniia, coming in third place.

The Olympics can be happy and sad, ecstatic and disappointing. It's not about winning but striving to succeed!

Water Safe

Water Safety is the most important thing that can save your life from drowning. Improvised means is when you are not prepared for something. Life jackets have special floatation devices that are called foam or it could be inflatable. Many kind of objects will increase your survival time like a plank wood or a log. There are 2 positions called the help position and a huddle position if there is more than 2 people. The help position is Heat Escape Lessening Posture which you cross both of your arms over your chest. It'll prevent heat lost and more survival time. The huddle position is where you get into a group hug but the little ones are in the middle. That are all the things you need if you are improvised.

Going After Humbug

Granddad sended the photo to Seymour and Jax’s dad. 3 years later, The doorbell was ringing and Jax and Seymour came running to the door. Seymour opened it and it was there dad. Seymour and Jax was surprised that they haven’t seen their dad in 3 years.

They were all going to see Humbug "The Fast Brown Duck" 1 last time. They were in the car like flash. 20 kilometres away from the lake. It started to rain as they all got out. They couldn't find Humbug in the lake or in its nest. They found Humbug behind the tree as his leg was broken.

They took Humbug to the care center to get the ducks leg fixed. Seymour and Jax wanted to see Humbug again but the duck cannot swim fast anymore. The doctor said “do you want to keep the duck as a pet” Seymour and Jax really wanted a pet in their home so they all said yes.

They all came home safe with and they all lived happily ever after with a duck.

The Manaiakalani Film Festival 2012

On Wednesday the 15 of November 2012, the year 7's & 8's went to the Manaiakalani film festival at Sylvia Park. As we all got to the theatre, lots of children from other schools came to the theatre as well. I thought we were not going to fit in the theatre because there wasn't enough seats . The lights were off and people started to cheer and clap. The movie's from other schools were exciting and interesting, one of them were very funny like room 18's. It came to the end for the year 7 & 8's to leave. We had to leave the theatre as soon as possible for Tamaki college because they had 2 more movie's left to watch. I really had fun watching everybody's movie from other schools.

The Firework Accident

Once upon a time a 7 year old boy named Timmy, was walking home after a tiring day at school. It was getting dark until a big loud bang, happened in the city. He wanted to go see what was going on so he sneaked outside for a closer look. As he got outside he saw fireworks blasting 1 by 1. He was shocked, seeing all the colours made him still like a statue. He sneaked back inside quietly because he was suppose to go to bed for tomorrow’s athletics.

On the next day, Timmy came home after a tiring day coming 3rd place in the 100m sprint. His mum was home bringing a big box inside the house and Timmy wanted to see what was in it. He opened it with his eyes closed, and there were fireworks inside. Timmy was so excited to see them at night. After a few hours later, His mum was lighting up the fireworks and ‘BANG’ 1 by 1 the fireworks blasted until the fireworks fell and blasted on him.

Timmy’s arm was burning and he dropped and roll, on the grass to get the fire out. His mum called the ambulance and they came as soon as possible. They took him on a stretcher in the ambulance truck and off they went. “He could not move his left arm for 8 months” said the doctor. After 1 year later, Timmy was running against the grand champions and won by one second and his mum was happy so they lived Happily ever after.

Volcano Eruption In Guatemala

I am going to talk about how a volcano erupts. The magma will make its way through the rocks and ashes. The pressure of the magma will make the plates move in the crust. As the magma pushes all the rocks and ashes through the main vent of the volcano. It will blast all the rocks and ashes and make a massive ash cloud in the air. Lava can cool down while making its way the water.

In Guatemala a volcano had erupted near the capitol of Mexico. 10,000 villagers had to evacuate there homes immediately. Fuego is one of the most worlds active volcano. Villagers were seen escaping the capitol, Guatemala city 31 miles away. All air travels were cancelled after a big ash cloud spread for miles and miles around Guatemala. By Friday morning lava had blasted over four miles away from Fuego's crater.

In the North island of New Zealand, Mt Tongariro had erupted last month. The eruption caused a big ash cloud in the sky. Lava was spewing out of the volcano.

The Roller Coaster Ride

Once upon a time there were two girls named Carly and Natalya, and they were going to face their fear by going on the biggest roller coaster ever.

They were arriving at the carnival As they were walking to the roller coaster. Carly and Natalya were shaking in fear because it looked so high they were thinking that they would fall off. They got in front of the line and they were up next to go on. As they got on, the safety protection came down and they were scared. The roller coaster was rolling as they were holding hands. As they went up to the big hill on the roller coaster it went down super fast. Carly and Natalya was screaming “AH!”

Then as the loop was coming up they were upside down then part of the Roller Coaster came off and they were falling. Suddenly Superman came to save all of them at once at the speed of light. They were still screaming because Part of the roller coaster was about to fall on them but Superman save there lives again by putting it down softly. Carly and Natalya was Shocked in fear as Ca rly fainted on the ground.

She woke up in bed and thought it was all a dream, But it never happened or did it?

The Haunted House and Slender Man Forest

Chapter 1:  
Billy , Max , Silas and me heard a rumour about a haunted house in the middle of nowhere. Silas reckons we should go but Max and Billy said it looks scary.  We convinced them that they should go so we all went.

At the house, Silas opened the door and the door creaked we all went in Then the door shut closed really hard with a bang Then we got all scared. We heard a crack sound in the kitchen we all jumped “AH!” Max wanted to get out of this house but the door was locked. Billy tried to calm Max down. I told Max, Silas and Billy to wait at the door as I went into the kitchen.

I saw a plate cracked in pieces but I didn’t want to picked up the plate shard. As I got back to the front door Max , Silas and Billy was gone, I was wondering where they went. I walked into the hallway and opened a door and there was a library so I went in. I found a key on the table under a letter and something was in this room too. I peaked around the shelves and a monster came chasing after me. I was running for my life up the stairs into the bedroom.

I lost the monster and found Silas hiding in the closet but he was shocked. I told him where Billy and Max was but he kept shaking So I looked around the house to find Max and Billy. I found Billy and Max in the basement tied up. I untied them and told Silas to come out of the closet. We all ran out to the front door and saw the keys to open it. But suddenly the monster came back and chased us. As We all ran out into the public the monster was gone.

Chapter 2:  
In this mysterious forest is was so dark. Max , Silas , Billy and me went to collect 8 pages of writing. We all walked shaking as we found the first page and said no 12 times. Max went and grabbed it and moved to find the 7 remaining pages. Silas and Max saw a Building So me and Billy went to investigate the Building while Max and Silas look on the other side. So Billy and I went and look for pages in this building which looked like a bathroom. I screamed AH! because we saw the Slender Man Billy Pulled me and told me to run.

We got lucky and regrouped with Silas and Max. I told Billy not to split up again, So we stayed together to find the 5 remaining pages. I found the 4th one which said “You Can’t Run” and as reach out to grab it the Slender Man Grabbed my wrist and Billy , Max and Silas went after the Slender Man and Caught up and pulled and pulled until my jacket got ripped and ran to the truck and everyone stayed quiet. We waited like about 1 hour until we moved to get the last 2 pages. Max and I Found the last pages and saw the Slender Man. He was so Angry We all ran for our lives up and over the fence and Slender Man was never seen again THE END?

SMOKING KILLS

Smoking is one Dangerous thing in the world. They say that smoking can affect your life and you can possibly die from it.  

There is a chance of getting a heart disease and a stroke. You can die faster smoking at the age of 13. 1% of the world die every year from a second hand smoke ¼ of the smokers in the United States tried to quit smoking at least once but smoking was in there lives.

There are people the age of 16 smoking tobacco, that is the restricted age to smoke. children that have parents smoking may let the child smoke when they get older
What I have learned about smoking is to never smoke when I grow up that's why smoking is not our future.

Not So Bad After All

Cross Country was the day that everybody has to run. Getting a sticker with your name and age. I was supporting Te Arawa. When it was the 12 year old boys turn to run I had butterflies in my body thinking I am going to come last.

Clap! Everybody started running off as a Bullet as my legs get muddy. Running on the Pt England Reserve Seeing my shoes covered in mud. It was hard to run because there are deep holes in the grass. Finally making it up to the concrete feeling a little bit exhausted. There were puddles right in front me, running through it made me get wet.

There were more and more puddles until the the course had smaller space in the bush walk. Slipping over forwards and backwards trying to get a grip on the path. having trouble to get up the steep muddy hill. Feeling scared to run down a small spaced muddy path. making the last 50m coming 4th to last.

My legs had mud up to my knees. I was feeling that this day was not so bad after all.

Tyson Gay Inspires Me

Tyson Gay was born in August 9th 1982 in Lexington Kentucky, but he now lives in the USA Clermont Florida. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and he is 165 pounds. 


Tyson Gay’s grandmother had been a runner in the old days, his mother had also completed her running events in her younger years. 
Tyson had attended Lafayette High school where he pushed himself in his training sessions. Tyson then failed his exams so he could not go to sports college.

 Tyson Gay Along with Asafa Powell & Yohan Blake are the only three sprinters defeating Usain Bolt over a 100m race.


Tyson had broke the record for 100m race with a time of 9.69 seconds. Gay was finally happy that he broke the record. At the 2008 Olympic trials, Tyson suffered a painful injury at the 200m event. The Injury made him a failure to win a medal at the Beijing Olympics.

ART ALIVE

Art Alive is the name of our inquiry for Term Two. We had an Immersion assembly, then we had rotations going around Team 5 classes to learn the skills of famous artists. 
First, we learnt about Daniella Hulme. She has very bright colors and all of her work has woman in it. She paints her work to look like 3D by blending the colours. Next, we learnt about Henri Matisse. He uses the primary colors like red,blue and yellow. His drawing a person with a guitar on looked pretty easy but it took us the middle session. 
Last, but not least, Vincent Van Gogh. He is a very famous artist, one of his paintings sold for $148 Million. He cut his own ear off to give it to his wife and she did not like it, so Vincent had a very sore ear.

What's The Drink For Me?

Has anybody been thirsty before? Do you prefer Coffee,Tea,Soft Drink,Water. I'll prefer to drink soft drink on a hot sunny and sometimes everyday.

I have never ever tasted coffee. I wonder what coffee taste like? I’ve seen millions of people drinking coffee. It must be ok or it might taste yuck. Are you going to taste coffee again?

As I had my first zip of the tea. It tasted like cardboard. Even if I ate the cookie with it it tasted like cardboard cookies so I chucked all the tea outside accept my cookie. Because it was better than coffee. I don’t think I want to taste tea ever again. But would you taste?

Soft Drinks are one of the most favorite drinks ever! for me. but it is unhealthy to drink but is very tasty to drink it. Would you drink nice soft drink all day?

Water is the most healthiest drink that I have ever tasted before. It is healthy for your body too. There are all kinds of different waters. Like Aqua and others kinds. Would you drink it?

DAY ONE OF CAMP 2012

DAY1 OF CAMP 2012

On the first day of camp 2012 I was so excited to all the fun stuff. But my friends are not coming. Box fit was our activity. Boxing was pretty cool as I throw punches BAM! Kobe’s hand went all the way back as if I have already won the world Heavy Weight Championship and the crowd was saying my name but I was imagining.

Second Act was Making a tent. They made it look so easy but it was actually hard. It only took nearly one hour to build that tent and seven people helped me trying to get it up. and everybody just keep building and building.

Last but not least it was The Amazing race. First we had to make a slingshot to try and hit the buckets. We keep missing, one was going left and the other one didn’t even make it to the first bucket.

The last act of The Amazing race is to take a photo of respect but with our body’s, but doing one letter each time. finished all the letters now we have to download them to the Imac.

Treaty Of Waitangi

In these kind of treaty's they make deals and trade food for musket .These Europeans are travelling across New Zealand trading for food for there muskets.

Over 20,000 people died by muskets so they started there own war. Taiha's were been thrown Pe're were been thrown as well but musket's were killing the Maori tribe as they fell back.

This Term, in Maths, we are learning about statistics. As Part of our learning we are Examining data related to our health. The first part of our examination we collected data (information about the food we ate for one week (2/2 to 9/2).
